How to Prepare Batata Harra

Ingredients:

1 cup cilantro
3-4 garlic cloves
8 medium potatoes
2 tbsp Olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp chili flakes

Instructions:

Peel and wash potatoes.

Cut potatoes into small or medium cubes.

Preheat oil. Fry potatoes in oil.

Meanwhile, crush garlic and chop cilantro.

In large skillet, sauté garlic in olive oil. Add chili flakes.

Let sauté for about 1 minute. Add cilantro and sauté another 3 minutes.

Finally, add fried potato. Toss together for 2 more minutes.

Season with salt to taste.

How to Serve Batata Harra

These go with absolutely everything, but Hala recommends serving with fish.

Tips for Making this Batata Harra Recipe

Choose the right type of potatoes! Any roasting potato is good and Yukon Gold or Russets work well.

You can add more or less chili flakes, to your preference. You can even use fresh minced chili, cayenne or chili powder.
